We Can Build It!
DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity has been building up the community since 1995. DCSS Habitat for Humanity builds/rehabs scattered sites throughout DuPage County and the Chicago South Suburbs. We are currently building new construction townhomes in Hanover Park and rehabbing homes in Park Forest. We also offer a program for Home Repairs.
Volunteer day activities can include anything it takes to build a home from start to finish. Typical volunteer activities include framing, siding, painting, roofing, laying flooring, hanging doors or windows, trim work, finishing, landscaping, and cleaning. We mean it when we say – every single task is critical for the success of our mission. No construction experience is necessary. In fact, most of our volunteers are brand-new to the world of home construction! Simply come ready to learn and Habitat construction staff will guide you from there.
Habitat provides all the tools, building materials, and training for your build day; no construction experience is needed.
